Everyone who visits the Illinois State Museum finds something interesting. Full-size dioramas of Native Americans display daily life before Illinois was a state. Other exhibits show the state’s current and former wild animals in their natural habitat. The museum also contains an art gallery and a collection of antique glass paperweights. The gift shop includes many items made by contemporary Illinois craftspeople.
